Participants: Hundred Years English Henry V: Ken Chan
Medieval German: Philip Ngo (likely to be 1439AD)
Game start on or before 1:00 p.m. on 3/3/2012 at HKSW Meeting
We play on a 6' by 4' table.

Logistics:
Ken Chan to bring his Henry V Hundred Years English army, table cloth (matt) and all terrains as Philip only has two hills) Philip Ngo to bring his Medieval German army (C in C is Territorial).

Ken chooses to attack in Summer and Philip chooses to attack in Autumn.
I have thrown dice on behalf of both sides.

(a) Dice for aggression
German throws a 6 + 2 (Agresson Factor) = 8 and attacks in Autumn, Hundred Years English throws a 2 + 3 (Agression Factor) = 5 and attacks in Summer. Medieval German is the invader. The season of attack: Philip chooses to attack in Autumn
The raw dice score of the defender is even, so he is facing due east.

German can choose 0 - 2FE. Philip please chooses the terrain from:
S, Rv, DH, SH, WH, GH, Wd, O, BF, M (not available to invader or with DH, SH, WH, Wd or O), F, B, Rd, BUAf.

Philip has chosen a sea @2FE

Ken Chan please chooses 2 - 4 FE of terrain. Ken want a River (2FE), GH (1FE size)x2 (1FE); Wood (1FE size)x1 (1FE). Total 4FE

I shall bring 8 bases of Longbowmen for Ken

For play balance, I have advised Philip to change his terrain selection. If possible, it is more ideal if he can change the campaign season.

As a matter of fact, I shall provide the sea for Philip.

However, sea is not a secure flank. One can still flank march from the sea by impressed shipping. However, the troop need to score 2 or more or otherwise spent. The score needed is increased by 1 if there is strong wind. Please refer to page 31 of the rules book. This is not total secure but at least give some difficult for those who want flank march from the sea.

For the selection of river by Ken, this is no surprise for me. Since the campaign season is autumn, if the weather score is 4 or 5 then the river is spate. The river will become a difficult terrain for all land troop if it is spate. I can provide the river if necessary and my river is more than 4 cm wide.

If the invader want to minimize the effect of the river, it can be done but restricting the placement of the river. The method is that alway put the invader 6 to the same side of the defender 5. There is 1/3 of the chance that there is no river. If the 5 and 6 are all on the same long edge, then the chance of a horizontal river is 2/36. If the 5 and 6 are all on the same short edge, the chance of a horizontal river is 6/36.

The above is some tactical advices for the players.

James
